House of Mana Up, the retail arm of product accelerator Mana Up, has opened a new location at Ward Village.

The shop, which opened July 2, occupies a 1,292-square-foot space in South Shore Market that formerly housed Jana Lam.

This marks the fifth shop for House of Mana Up, which has other locations on Oahu and Hawaii Island. Like the existing locations, the new store features products from Hawaii companies that have participated in Mana Up’s accelerator program.

Mana Up launched House of Mana Up in early 2020, with the first location at Royal Hawaiian Center. It has since opened additional locations at the Mauna Loa Visitor Center, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Prince Waikiki hotel.

“We're thrilled to bring House of Mana Up to Ward Village, in a neighborhood where we can connect locals with unique products and gifts from 100% Hawaii-based businesses,” said Meli James, co-founder of Mana Up, in a statement. “Creating more sales channels for these companies aligns perfectly with our mission to help Hawaii’s entrepreneurs grow and scale, contributing to the state's economy and creating local jobs.”

The new House of Mana Up features products from Mana Up alumni companies including Noho Home, Averylily, ava + oliver, Kakou Collective, Lexbreezy, Maui Chili Chili Oil, HI Spice and more, according to Ward Village.

“House of Mana Up celebrates local makers and artisans while creating jobs and supporting our economy,” said Taylor Herring, general manager of Ward Village, in a statement. “Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhood, and we look forward to continuing to be a space for entrepreneurs to grow.”
