Keoki Tavares, Founder of Aloha Elixir, had been helping people improve their well-being by providing spiritual guidance and intention coaching years before he founded his apothecary product company.
As an intuitive and intention coach, Tavares felt compelled to create his soy candles and energetic sprays to help his clients further enhance their intention setting. He wanted to provide intention tools that would be easily accessible to anyone who needed help making positive life changes.
"It's about personal empowerment—regaining your power," Tavares says. "Using Aloha Elixir products will help to positively amplify areas of your life that need accelerating."
Tavares has also created dozens of intention candles and spray products for Aloha Elixir's House of Intention, the shop's online store.
Some of Aloha Elixir's most popular intention products include Moon, Now, and Letting Go candles, and Angel, a gardenia-infused botanical spray.
"You can use this to release energy that no longer serves you," Tavares says about the Letting Go candle, his bestseller. "It helps people intensify their intentions of letting go of emotional trauma from the past."
Another popular intention candle is Road Opener: "I use eucalyptus and mint. Goldstone and amazonite gemstones are added to help remove emotional and physical blocks, which can help people to think clearer and move forward," Tavares says.
Tavares sound-charges every intention candle with over 12 hours of mantras and positive affirmations, according to Aloha Elixir's website. He also uses essences of various quartz crystals, semi-precious stones, and sacred waters to create his products.
Tavares says all of his products are made to provide different energy vibrations.
Ti leaf, 'ōlena, and Hawaiian salt are the base ingredients in many of Aloha Elixir's sprays.
"The sprays are the most local, geographically-gathered sprays," Tavares says, noting that his spray ingredients are almost entirely sourced from his home and family gardens on the island of O’ahu, as well as from other local vendors on the island.
Just celebrating its fifth anniversary, Aloha Elixir has grown exponentially over the years. Beginning as a brand that was featured in a couple of local stores, Aloha Elixir is now a business with a robust online store, servicing multiple wholesale clients, including retail shops in Japan.
From his candles with semi-precious gemstones to his sprays with Hawaii-grown ingredients, Tavares handcrafts all of his products to encourage self-healing.
"We have a cult-like following," Tavares says. "I'm very happy where we are now, and I am also happy to grow."
